Innovative FLUORINATED FOAMS
AND FLUORINE FREE FOAM F3

Guidelines, Regulations and Policies are changing regarding the use of fluorinated foams such as Aqueous Film Forming Foam (AFFF), particularly ones with large amounts of long chain fluorinated organic compound such as perfluorooctanesulphonic acid (PFOS) and perfluorooctanoic acid (PFOA) and precursors. Pressure is now being placed on companies to incorporate products that do not use persistent organic pollutants such as Fluorine Free Foam (F3).

With an ever increasing demand for more environmentally focused fire fighting foam to be introduced in to Foam Systems, you must ask yourself ; Are you ready and have you done enough to provide assurances that if you switch from fluorinated foams to F3 your hazard will be protected and your systems will function as intended ? There is conjecture and confusion relating to the use of fluorinated foams and F3, the data sheets and certificates supplied by concentrate manufacturers only explain a small part of the story around what is needed regarding foam selection for your specific needs.

INCOS Engineering will work with you to identify appropriate options for selection of foam concentrates and enable you to make decisions about the design or re-design of your proportioning systems. Our Engineering Department will work together with you to better understand what can actually be done to balance key requirements such as Performance, the Environment and Costs. Clients can depend on INCOS Engineering for expert unbiased consultancy and advice. Whether your company is building new systems or working on an AFFF to F3 Transition Project for existing assets you will find a local partner in INCOS Engineering.
